To the survivors of Ondoy Typhoon

I am no stranger to nature's wrath. Once, our family house was run down by flash flood in Polomolok. It destroyed our fence, water came pouring inside the house and to the underground, coffee in the dryer in front of our house was wiped out. Our dog was swept by the water and never returned. After more than 10 years, our house caught fire and burned half of the house.

We have seen how Ondoy ravaged Manila through the web and news. I haven't stayed overnight on top of the roof wet, cold and without food waiting for the water to subside. I havent queued for hours for food to last me and my family through the day. Our heart goes out to you.

What I have experienced is no feat to what typhoon Ondoy did to the people of Manila.
I believe that GOD would not give us this challenge if we can't pass this test. They say - 'What doesn't kill you makes you strong'. So hold on, cheer up everything will be fine.GOD is on our side.

We, Pinoys here in Ireland are doing something to help you in anyway we can. We had collected money to send in Manila. We are also collecting clothes, blanket, towel and canned food. Please dont hesitate to comment here if you want to suggest some other stuff you want us to send for your survival.

Thinking of you,
